Flower Children

We went to a fringe show Friday night which was all about the Mamas and the Papas, a pop group from the 60's (yes I know I am showing my age) but I am sure there are many on this site that remember them.

It was a concert with all of there music intertwined with there life story, a great night of nostalgia, I just loved the music from that era.

Crikey Scrappy to look half as good as she did would have been a bonus, but the girl that played here part was not half bad and had a good voice. The girl that played the part of Cass Eliot was good to, a big girl the same shape as the original with a very strong voice.

No mention of when they were all broke though, although I got the impression that John Phillips didn't lose that much as he was the song writer and was raking in royalties more than the others.
He had to have something to buy his drugs with.
