WAFL Grand Final
The WAFL Grand Final was played today, and like the SANFL it was a non-aligned side (Subiaco) up against an AFL-aligned side (East Perth - West Coast's feeder side), and just like the SANFL, it was the non-aligned side that got up - Subiaco winning 11.16.82 to 9.12.66.
The attendance - just 11,987. Even in the inclement weather, that would be very concerning for the WAFL.

Well done Subiaco.
WAFL crowds are low - 2000 is a big attendance, lots of low or sub 1,000 crowds.
The crowd numbers got smashed when the Eagles first put all their players into one team back in the 1990's and East Perth won 3 straight premierships (I think). Attendances for all games basically halved in 3 years and never recovered.
Which is one of the reasons why I was against the Crows / Power doing the same here.
