Re: Current Television Programs....
This time of year I'm a sucker for getting stuck in front of the TV at night time...lol.
What do you guys watch?
At the moment I'm right into My Kitchen Rules.
I have much, much dislike for Thomas and Carla at the moment - my goodness - they are not playing fair at all if you ask me - I even have started to like the 'old guys' who were the original 'evil' ones better than Thomas and Carla.
My favourites are the QLD couple - the scientists - although I missed their last instant restaurant, but it would seem by scores they failed
And can't go past the 2 young SA guys - great cooks !
Speaking of which - I am wondering if it was a 'ploy' to have 2 single girls and 2 single guys in the same 'group'.
I have to wonder if they're looking for their first MKR wedding

I hate MKR but find myself watching it when Im home
Thomas is a world class knob but not sure whether he's worse than Dr Evil.
My addictions at the moment are The Zoo, 7pm on Gem (or Go) and American Pickers.
Oh, and Greys Anatomy is FINALLY back! Hooray!

Every time I see an advert for Greys Anatomy FC I think of you
I have never actually watched one episode of that one though...lol.
I am also a TV junkie to the/my old 'favourites' Home and Away, Neighbours and Packed to the Rafters.
A new favourite - Revenge - am loving that show

Greys Anatomy jumped the shark when Katherine Heigl left. Never the same.
Disclaimer - I never watched an episode, just the commercials
Some of my "guilty pleasures" on TV:
- Neighbours (yes, I know, but have watched it since the beginning. I don't care. Don't ring me at 6.30pm, no point)
- Hardcore Pawn (spelling correct) - great show on 7Mate about a Pawn Shop in Detroit. Some of the most...interesting people you will ever see on there.
- The Big Bang Theory. That said, Nine tends to repeat some episodes too much and others nowhere near enough.
- Becker, which is being repeated for the first time since its original run on Eleven, 4pm daily. Ted Danson at his acerbic best.

I get a big laugh out of The Big Bang theory - I just listen while I'm doing other stuff around the house and the other family members are watching it.

MKR is the big ticket show in our house at the moment. Nicely timed for when bubs is tucked away in bed.
The whole strategic voting is a load of BS. Does anyone think that Thomas & Carla have a weird dynamic? To me it looks like Carla has the hots for Thomas who in return treats her like a bag of poo. She seem to be totally blind to it though because she's smitten.

As a rule I don't like 'cooking shows' - like I never watched even one episode of master chef - lol - but I do really like MKR.
Thomas is just bad, bad, bad - I don't like him at all.
I hadn't noticed the whole 'Thomas/Carla' hots thing though I must admit - probably I am too busy scouring and sending daggers at the TV everytime they show them..lol.

The midwife has taken the Uk by storm. Set in the east end on London in the fifties. Some pretty close to the bone storylines.
Watch out for it. Well worth a watch

I think you might find Thomas might be "pitching" for the other team.
Just saying.....not that there is anything wrong with that.

Looks like it I said to WoStrawb if they do kill of Ruby I am done with the show. They are killing off too many people and have no idea on what they are doing.A Mum wrote:Will watch out for it Bobbafet - thanks

Yeah - I don't think they will 'kill off' Ruby - but show/emphasise how easily things can go 'wrong' even if you take your eyes off a toddler for a second.
Hence needing the tissues - can see how 'real' this kind of situation can be.

Yes well I wouldn't take a toddler on a Building site. My kids are lucky to come to my work some times I choose not to bring them.A Mum wrote:Strawb wrote:Looks like it I said to WoStrawb if they do kill of Ruby I am done with the show. I won't sign up to the Evil Empire so get a slightly limited choice here.
Dr Who...and any other sci-fi we get
CSI...only the original one...not Miami or NY
NCIS
The Mentalist
Chuck
Mythbusters
Anything with chefs Nigel Slater, Simon Hopkinson or Heston Blumenthal
QI
Have I Got News For You
Mock The Week
Horizon...if it's a physics or chemistry based episode.
Things like David Attenborough's Frozen Planet
6 Nations or any match featuring Munster or Ireland that us mortals are allowed to see.
Regards

Mock the Week, I reckon that's the one my wife and I watched a lot of while we were travelling around the UK a couple years ago, great show.
Is that the one that's hosted by the bald Irish guy and they go through the various news stories?
