The 2 most inconsistent sides in the comp. One week they are very good. The next they are horrid.
I don't know really. Maybe a draw.

I'm going for North only because I am not sure which 22 Westies bring this week. North by 4 - 6 goals

Well if we bring 22 I think the extra player could give us the advantage we need.

That's not such a concern when you kick one goal in the first half.

Great Cocks,

Pity it wasn't a 100 pts though
Not very often we have big Wins, now its 2 in a row, could be 3 after next week against Crows !!!!

A committed, fast and skilfull North made short work of a deplorable West outfit today.
Possibly the worst first half effort I've seen from West in not-so-recent memory and certainly worse than being blitzed by Sturt only a few weeks ago.
The difference in skill level in the first half was as wide as the search area for MH 370, with less chance of West finding the target.
I trudged away from Prospect Oval happy to leave it.

I don't think as much as Unley Oval, though?sapaul wrote:Do you hate Prospect Oval?

Yes. It's a lop-sided paddock, the immediate surrounds of which are inhabited mainly by a foul-mouthed, vaguely life-like species feared by the inhabitants of dark alleys.
Whereas the denizens of Unley Oval contain a somewhat self-righteous, polite, hand clapping group of citizens who maintain an exact average age of 73 years and 4 months, the Prospect crowd match that only in IQ (if their most intelligent members attend). The Unley attenders are individuals, bound together by the fact that they are all identical. The Prospect group are just that, a group where individuality was long ago overtaken by the demands of mob rule.**
I do hate Prospect Oval, but it is not as worthy of as much hate as Unley Oval.
To be fair, I will give an honest appraisal of the attenders of City Mazda Stadium shortly.
** None of the above refers in any way to the admirable Sturt and North posters on this forum.

Ah, now to those gentle, kindly souls who loyally support their mighty Bloods. Through thick and thin (and much, much more thin).
They are the salt of the earth, wise, intelligent and welcoming to their fellow SANFL followers.
Their faults are few, but somewhat endearing. Their numbers are few and they know each other, not necessarily all by name, but defintely by description. They have a fully justified conviction that the umpires are out to get them, that the League is out to get them, that the gods are out to get them, that the weather is against them and that luck and the bounce of the ball is against them. Some say they look for excuses, but this isn't true.
Their average age is a sprightly 96, which has the advantage of giving them a high degree of expertise in the many discussions about the 'golden age' of the years leading up to 1961.
They are used to disappointment, but they keep turning up. They are too used to losing, but they keep turning up. They are the eternal optimists, time after time doomed to disappointment, but they keep turning up.
They are true SANFL supporters and I love them all.

Have to agree with your comments re Prospect there R@B. However I do take issue with your assertion that ..
" the immediate surrounds of which are inhabited mainly by a foul-mouthed, vaguely life-like species feared by the inhabitants of dark alleys." - being a resident of prospect myself.!

"immediate"* is defined as being within the confines of Prospect "Oval", B &W.
I definitely exclude the fine citizens of the suburb from that description.
* Given it is the first word of a new sentence, but is a direct quote from the middle of a prior sentence, should it start with a capital?
When you lose by 15 goals, such things are welcome distraction.

I have a constructive suggestion fir Orospect Oval, CC.
Instead of the fairly pathetic looking canvas signs at each end, there should be a more permanent and far more impressive sign put up at each end, behind the crowd area.
Instead of just saying 'Robran End' and 'Farmer End', it should pay better respect to two champions and say The Barrie Robran End and the Ken Farmer End.
