Crows and Port
Not long until a new concept starts, with the Crows and Port SANFL teams.
It's a fact of life now.
Will you decide it's a fact and just accept it, or will you not go to the footy, or at least not to games your club plays against them.

Finally went and purchased my season membership a couple of weeks ago, so I will go to most games R&B. To be honest I wasn't sure I was going too. Edited this post. I'll go ta every game my team plays lol. Let the season begin

I will follow the SANFL this season as I always have. However (and I never thought I would say this) I'm not certain that will remain the case after 2014.

I'll continue to passionately follow the Bloods, no matter what, but I'll be keen to see how the competition is affected.
Let's hope it works out OK.

Re: Crows and Port
i said i wouldn't go as i believe it is selling of the soul of the clubs & the league in general (barring Central & South) & the competition will develop into an u/23 feeder only comp & lists will change drastically basically year to year, however i can't give up what i've been doing basically all my life so win, lose or draw i'll be going, however if my fears of trial games happens, i'll be the loudest complainer & agitator in Australia & then i'll most assuredly not renew memberships next year, so in short i'll give it a chance this year & will pay at the gate next year if i have too, to lodge my protest
i heard both Ports & the Adelaide coaches interviewed the other night & if they mean what they said it might be ok, only time will tell & they have one season to prove it

Re: Crows and Port
I'm sure I'm no different to most others on this forum. I don't like what's happened to the SANFL, but I can't see any point in beating myself up over something I can't control. I've followed Sturt all my life and I'll keep doing so. Ironically my son-in-law, who often comes to Sturt home games with me, is a Crows supporter. So we'll be down at Max Basheer Reserve next Saturday at 10am to watch a damn trial game! Am I crazy? Well yes, quite obviously.

FWIW, here's a link to the Crows 25 man development squad. I guess we'll see quite a few of these guys next Saturday.

Thought I'd read today that this match will be played on the main AAMI oval.

Ivan Muster had a son play for Norwood. Not sure if that's Simon.

Re: Crows and Port
I notice that Port have named Summerton, Slattery, Raikisawa and Biemanns in their leadership group. Could be interesting seeing an entire team's leadership group playing Reserves if Power have a near full list to choose from.
