I thought it was Mike Poulter from Norwood.
His career seemed to fit the bill too.
Just wasn't too sure about the umpiring bit.

I came to my club from Country Victoria in the 60's.
At my best, which was often, I was a mercurial goalkicker. Unfortunately, sometimes if I didn't fire, I was pretty ordinary.

Neither.
I was my club's leading goalkicker for 3 years in a row, but wasn't regarded generally as a full-forward.

You're thinking of David Jonas, Booney, but not the right answer.
back to the question:
I was rightly regarded as a mercurial player, capable of taking spectacular marks.

B & W has the right team.
I was in the Advertiser team of the year twice. Although I played all over the forward line, I was generally played off a forward flank.
I came to SA as a youngster from Ballarat.

I think this bloke wore no 17 and I think he was a left-footer.

Nowhere near it.
Bayman should walk this one in.
This player was once 19th man. The 20th man was Hole, which was very apt. No, it isn't A.se
