Im hoping for Ben MacCreadie, had a very good year.
Absolute bolter from West, Brad Mangan. Has been very good in defence but not a flashy player

I think it needs to be said that the MM night has just about moved into the territory of a 'boys' night out'.
Great if you attend, bugger the public, unless I'm missing something?

It's an absolute disgrace the manner in which the SANFL has mismanaged this event in recent years and this seems to be the final step in reducing the prestige that should be associated with it. In the last 3-5 seasons the SANFL decision makers have given the competition for which they are responsible, simply, no chance to thrive and survive. Just seriously no chance in hell.

Ridiculous no live streaming, was better than nothing even despite their jitteryness and lagging etc of recent years.
Can you view updates on twitter without having twitter? Buggered if I'm joining twitter.

I'll try to update if possible.

Reading that press release, makes me think they're doing their best to conduct the whole thing in secrecy. Like the AFL has instructed them not to play up these trifling state awards. After all, everyone knows only the brownlow is important.

There is no money for it to be streamed, it's as simple as that...

was looking forward to watching it on the computer like last year, well this is just another self inflicted nail in the coffin for the SANFL....i don't understand facebook or twitter & don't want to so i'll find out at some stage during the week
why are the so called gurus at SANFL headquarters trying to kill the competition & all it stood for ?

What sort of cost would it cost to stream? Hook up a cam to the Internet. Bingo!

That's just not good enough.Big Phil wrote:There is no money for it to be streamed, it's as simple as that...
They disrespect their supporters and it's now just a boys' night out.
Are you going, Phil? If so, well deserved, but understand you're one of the privileged few and the thousands of supporters get nothing.
I've always been a defender of the SANFL, often to my cost, but they need to rethink their responsibilities to their public.

r&b, they don't care anymore, they've bent over & just given up & the once proud competition will continue to deteriorate to nothing more than a feeder under 23 league in the near future......a few years ago they advertised the SANFL as real footy at value for money prices etc now you need to take out a loan to take a family for a day at the footy with food etc added onredandblack wrote:That's just not good enough.Big Phil wrote:There is no money for it to be streamed, it's as simple as that...

Re: Magarey Medal
Fu#@ing pathetic by the SAN AFL, not to be able to give some sort of coverage of what was (not now) a very prestigious award to the public, that is decreasing in its importance because of this very reason.Big Phil wrote:There is no money for it to be streamed, it's as simple as that...
They own football park for f@#k sake, whats that worth, and they have no money--excuse me for puking

Well there's a marketing option missed.Big Phil wrote:There is no money for it to be streamed, it's as simple as that...
Any promotions manager worth his/her salt could have chased a sponsor for the costs. How popular would that company have been amongst the SANFL faithful?
A very lazy attitude IMO.
