Sounds good somewhat. But don't banks borrow money from other banks so that you can borrow money from your bank?

Besides more often than not IMO, the home loan rate is always going to be higher than the rate the RBA sets. Hell, banks often deliberate if they are going to pass on the cuts! But they might attract more customers if they do.

Finance is an interesting world I'm discovering.

sounds good - I understand banks need to make money and rates will always be higher, no problem, but I think the point is, they are just too greedy.
