I'm not certain if they keep records on this . But Dunstan for the Eagles . Has played 2 league games in a row and has played in two different numbers. Seeing he played in 9 this week and Sumner returning he could play in jumper number 3 in 3 weeks !!
Any idea if this has happened often ?
Mind you I think he played in 18 in the seconds so is it 4 in 4 weeks ?

There was a brief time (60's I think), when a rival 'Budget' started up and the SANFL, in the spirit of fair competition of course, changed players' numbers for a while.

that happened in the VFL in one of the 1960's Grand Finals, the Herald Sun had the players names & numbers in the paper so the VFL had the respective clubs get their players to change numbers......very petty
