In a rematch of the 2012 NRL Grand Final, Canterbury-Bankstown have belted the Melbourne Storm 39-0. It was the first time since the 2008 Grand Final that Melbourne have been held scoreless in a match.

Tiger Woods is battling an injury - and this time it wasn't inflicted by a spouse. He's been suffering an elbow strain since May, and is on anti-inflammatory medication, but believes he will be fit enough to play in the British Open

Club v Country Flares Up Again in Soccer
A spat is brewing between Australian soccer coach Holger Osieck and the Nagoya Grampus over the availability of Josh Kennedy for the East Asian Cup. As the tournament is outside of FIFA's international calendar, clubs can withhold players from the East Asian Cup, and it appears Nagoya wish to do this with Kennedy, angering Osieck.

New York Knicks player Baron Davis claims to have been abducted by aliens on a trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. In a bizarre rant, he claimed that he was tied up by some extra-terrestial visitors, leaving him quite shaken. Just goes to show some people have more dollars than sense.
