Retaining the Port Magpies in the SANFL. Empty Retaining the Port Magpies in the SANFL.

My mail is that the AFL demand that the model used by the Crows and the Power must be the same, so the Power will likely end up dropping the Magpies rather than the Crows beginning a fully fledged club in the SANFL. Here is one possible way I have come up with to retain the Magpies in the SANFL even if Port Power have an academy squad in the SANFL reserves, 

Would it be possible for the Port Magpies section of Port Adelaide to amalgamate with Port Districts retaining the Magpies history and jumper? Yet potentially the name Port Districts as opposed to Port Adelaide? Home matches at Port Districts home ground and the club then works its way up the SANFL ladder again? The Black and White Port Magpies remain and the area is represented in the SANFL by the club.
