West v Central at City Mazda Thursday night
A new look Central take on a settled West side.
West have lost some players, while Central will have some debutants.
Looks like a good contest.

Can you bet each way?
I'm torn between picking West by 5-6 goals or Central by 1-2 goals.

Harder to pick than a broken nose this one.
Both West and Central are unknown quantities this year for mine.
West had a great year but I suspect the competition will rise this season and they have lost some key players.
Whilst everyone is hoping the dynasty is over we won't know for sure for a while ... underestimate Central at your peril.
Central by 29.

If this is the correct side (Cassisi & Crouch on the bench ?) West to win.

West by four goals. Apart from lacking depth in the ruck, looks a good side.

Re: West v Central at City Mazda Thursday night
At last the footy is back and this match up is two sides out for redemption after disappointment in the finals series last year.
Westies have had the recent wood on Centrals, winning 3 of the past 5 (including the past two at City Mazda Stadium). Westies will look to continue their good form against Centrals while Centrals will be looking to break their nighttime duck at City Mazda Stadium.
All that said and done, I will tip Centrals by 15 points.

I think it was a 10 goal quarter, Bayman.
Some wonderful footy, too, with coast-to coast goals and some exciting play.
Very entertaining game. Boyd and Symes dominated the first half, but Collins moved Fielke to Boyd and put Ferguson forward and it all clicked.
Ferguson is a champion.

When Fergy hangs up the boots it will be interesting to compare his career with Mckenzie from the Eagles.
Both very versatile and if Coad had played more in a Double Blue jumper, he too would have been in this mould.
Not many still around like that.

if not for a bad run with injury i'm sure he (Ferguson) would have played 150+ games in the AFL

Ryan Ferguson is an outstanding player and leader.
The best recruit the bloods have had for many many years.
Loved the third qrt outstanding stuff by the bloods with quick direct ball movement through the corridor.
Brad Crouch and Rory Laird were outstanding.
Biggest problem for the bloods is in ruck Peter. Nelson is still young by SANFL standards and he needs to be more agressive at the centre bounce. We badly miss Willits and Borholm both would have been handy this yr.
I hope like hell that Lobbe comes back to us As ruck is a major weakness
All in all a great win and great game to watch with good fast open footy.
Loved Sam Colqhoun's game for Centrals he will play for the power very soon
