Took over from Massie as Bays reserves coach mid-year and took out the premiership with them in 2011.

Assistant Coach/played for Ainslie in the ACT last season. They too won the premiership.

Hard to believe they took so long to appoint him with those credentials.

Was reported in my local Messenger that Stephen Williams was one of the applicants and was only told by a text from a player that hadn't been selected and Ken McGregor had the job.

Was a bit scathing of the club for their lack of respect in not advising him properly given his length of service to the club.

if that's true that is utterly disgraceful to start with & i doubt Stephen would bend over to the Powers every demand

Brian Leys the Maggies GM said they had wanted to contact Williams, but the player beat him to it. Was the same day as the McGregor announcement I believe.

I guess you can't wait in your own good time to do these things.
