The race that stops a nation - the same question gets asked every year I think - so out of interest I've added a poll question-
Should it be a national public holiday? NO, because a lot of the hype, lunches etc would dwindle to what it is for example how many people do racing stuff (track or elsewhere) on Adelaide Cup Day ?

I love Melbourne Cup day.......WHAT is entertaining is going into a tab & watching the no hopers ask silly questions, like this one yesterday that my mum got (works at a tab)
