I thought john swan was a dogs supporter as is his brother?Southee wrote:Just a bit of fun but who are famous people, celebs, singers , musicians, politicians etc.... that support your club??
We might all learn something who follows your club in the SANFL.
Off the top of my head :
I know Paul Kelly (singer/songwriter) supporters Norwood and always checks the results. I read his autobiography,
John Swan (Swannie) Jimmy Barnes brother is a Sturt man.
Ernie Sigley (comedian/host) is a South man. Plus Dean Brown , Mike Rann (Pollies).
Gary Sweet (actor) still watches the Bays when in town.
Any others posters would like to mention???

I thought John Swan was a Dogs supporter but Jimmy Barnes was a Port supporter from his late Primary School days at Mansfield Park and then in the Port proper.bullydog wrote:I thought john swan was a dogs supporter as is his brother?Southee wrote:Just a bit of fun but who are famous people, celebs, singers , musicians, politicians etc.... that support your club??

Horse trainer John Hawkes is a passionate Glenelg supporter, I think his father played for the Bays. Singer Julie Anthony is also a passionate Glenelg supporter, her father definitely played for Glenelg.
yep Ray Hawkes played for Glenelg

i can't think of his name but the guy that did the 'THIS IS GREATNESS' adds for the AFL is a mad keen Sturt & North Melbourne supporter, so much so that in interviews i heard him do over the finals he kept mentioning Sturt including twice on Foxfooty, he mentioned (in one of the interviews i heard) even though they lost the 1983 SANFL Grand Final as a kid it was a magnificent day, i've got a mental blank on this one so what is his name ?

I would have said about 1973. I certainly saw him play seconds on the TV.bayman wrote:blacky wrote:how long agobayman wrote:Big Phil wrote:Famous horse trainer David Hayes is a Doggies fan...

No, Swanee (John Swan) is definately a Sturt man. He was on their membership ads last year in Sturt gear and sang at a game this year or last year I think.

I was at the game that he sang, but he also sang one of the earlier bulldogs songs, maybe the one that said "Beware the dogs are coming"

No, KG is no longer a Bloods Supporter, - when West Adelaide sacked Neil Curley as Senior Coach, I did hear KG state on radio that was it for his support of the club.....
Not surprised if he since changed his mind though!
